PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE   

 

   2024 - ITS A NEW YEAR!

   I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season visiting with Family and Friends.  It's time       to take the House decorations down and get Back to Rotary.  

   But before we focus on the next six months, let’s pause a minute and reflect on the           successes of the last six months - Canada Day Celebration, the Icewine Event and the       Holiday House Tour.  All very different events but all a great success.  Thank You to all       the Rotary Teams and Members that put Hands on Deck and got each event done -             what a great accomplishment!

   Last but not least, thank you to Steve Hinchliffe and Jeannie Manning for organizing a         Fun Holiday Dinner at the Golf Course - it was great to see everyone out talking and           laughing with delicious food and plenty of wine.

   Looking forward, JANUARY 9TH is our First Rotary Meeting of 2024 and it is going to be       really interesting.  FIRST we will be inducting a NEW MEMBER GRAHAM MCMILLAN.           SECOND we will have a local fitness team from Niagara Fit talking about how we can         improve our Health and Wellbeing and maybe meet one of our New Year Resolutions.         And THIRD, we will be asking our Members if we want to meet at a pub on the Tuesdays     in January and February that we don’t have meetings.

   In the Background, the Paul Harris Nominating Committee headed by Greg Fedoryn, has     put together a slate of potential recipients for this year to be approved by The Board         and the Members at Club Assembly on January 23rd. And there has been a request to       the Membership for recommendations for Board Positions for Incoming President and         Treasurer for the 2024/25 year.  The ISC and CSC Committees are busy with local and       international projects.

   So let’s do what we Rotarians do best - Service that improves our Community and             makes the World a better place for all.
